Questions homeowners ask before leveling

Your estimate is free and includes an honest assessment of whether lifting or replacing makes more sense.

Request free assessment
How long does concrete leveling take?

Most residential projects take about 1–4 hours. The repaired surface is usually ready for foot traffic and vehicle use the same day.

How big are the injection holes?

Flatworks drills small 5/8-inch holes—about the size of a dime. The crew patches them before leaving, so they become much less noticeable as the patch cures.

Is polyurethane foam different from mudjacking?

Yes. Polyurethane foam is lightweight, water resistant, and injected through much smaller holes. Traditional mudjacking uses a heavy cement slurry that can add weight to already-compromised soil.

Will leveling damage my concrete?

The process is designed to preserve your existing slab. Small holes are drilled, foam is injected beneath the concrete, and the slab is lifted gradually with controlled pressure.

How long do the results last?

The cured polyurethane does not wash away or break down in soil. Results also depend on drainage and soil conditions, which the Flatworks team evaluates during your free estimate. Qualifying projects include written warranty coverage of up to five years.

Should I level the slab or replace it?

If the concrete is structurally sound but has settled, leveling is often the faster and more cost-effective option. If the slab is badly broken or deteriorated, replacement may make more sense. Flatworks will give you a straight answer at the estimate.
